Milton Bicentennial Contest
Students in grades K-12 were invited to participate in the Milton Bicentennial Contest to celebrate Milton’s 200th birthday. Entries for the contest could vary and include essays (one page or less), poems, songs, videos, artwork or anything else that demonstrates why Milton is a special place.
All entries must be original work by the student and will be judged within these categories:
Grades: K-1, 2-3, 4-5 (one prize in each category) Grades: 6-7-8 (two prizes) Grades: 9-10, 11-12 (one prize in each category)
Entries were due by February 1, 2017 and must include the student’s name, grade, teacher and school.
Each class collected entries and a committee member picked them up to be judged. The winner in each category will receive $200 and have their project showcased in the high school lobby and at The Milton Bicentennial Bash on February 25, 2017 at St. Joseph Parish Center.
