Clearances:
Act 34 – The Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check
The PA State Police web-based application for Criminal Record Check. You must complete this application online and use a credit card to pay the fee. You will need to return to the site to check the status and print your report.
Act 114 – FBI Criminal History Report – The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania has changed to a new electronic fingerprinting vendor, IDEMIA, for Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) criminal history background checks.
Registration – The applicant must register prior to going to the fingerprint site. All applicants are required to complete pre-enrollment in the new Universal Enrollment system. The registration website is available online 24 hours/day, seven days per week at https://uenroll.identogo.com. Telephonic registration is available at 1-844-321-2101 Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm EST.
Service Code – When registering on-line, an applicant must use the appropriate agency specific Service Code to ensure they are processed for the correct agency and/or applicant type: School District Employment (1KG6XN) Volunteer (1KG6ZJ)
Payment – The applicant will pay a fee of $25.25 for the fingerprint service and to secure an unofficial copy of the Criminal History Record. Major Credit Cards as well as Money orders or cashier’s checks payable to MorphoTrust will be accepted on site for those applicants who are required to pay individually. No cash transactions or personal checks are allowed.
Fingerprint Locations – The location of the fingerprint sites and days and hours of operation for each site are posted on IDEMIA’s website at View IdenToGo.
Report Access – For the institution to access the official report via the electronic system, applicants must present their UEID to the hiring entity (as shown on the receipt provided after fingerprint capture).
Act 151 – Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance
Application can be submitted online. Once you enter the link below you will be directed to the Child Welfare Portal where you must create an account or log in if you already have an account. Note: you will need an email address to create an account.
Paper submissions of the Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance application will still be accepted for anyone who may not have access to the internet. Submit paper applications to: ChildLine and Abuse Registry Pennsylvania Department of Human Service PO Box 8170 Harrisburg, PA 17105-8170
Act 126 – Pa Mandated Child Abuse Recognition & Reporting Training
As a requirement of employment, if you cannot provide proof of completion of the 3 hr. child abuse training with a previous employer, you must participate in the FREE training option provided by the PA Child Welfare Resource Center to complete the 3 hr. Act 126 training requirement.
After registering, you will receive an email with login info. After receiving your login info, you can begin the training. Please note – the training does not need to be completed in one sitting.
Act 168 – Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release
An applicant must complete Section 1 of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release form for all employers that fall within the following categories:
(1). The applicant’s current employer (regardless of whether the employer was a school entity and/or where the
applicant had direct contact with children);
(2). All former employers of the applicant that were school entities; and
(3). All former employers where the applicant was employed in a position where he or she had direct contact with
children.Note that the applicant must fill out a separate Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release form for each employer that falls within the above-listed categories. The applicant is not required, however, under Act 168 to disclose current or previous volunteer positions.
